We wanted to stay longer in the 1-bed apartment in Split but someone had already booked it. Luckily, the owner had a 3-bed apartment available that overlooked the beautiful main square. You can’t ask for a much better location than this. We only used one of the bedrooms, but it was great to have all that extra space. You can book this apartment via Airbnb. Living Room
The living room was quite spacious, with a sofa bed, 6-seat table and two easy chairs. There was a TV, aircon and an open-plan kitchen at one end. The space was fairly minimal and was more than enough space for a few people. There were three windows to the side which let in light, but the view was just of the wall opposite.
Kitchen
The kitchen was well equipped, with 4-ring hob, oven, large fridge freezer and kettle. There were plenty of pots and pans, dishes and cutlery, with tea coffee, sugar, olive oil and other food items available in the cupboard.
Main Bedroom
The main bedroom looked out over the main square and had fantastic views. There was a large double bed and two wardrobes in the room. Also two bedside cabinets and a fan that could be used during the hot summer months. See below for photos of the view.
Bedroom 2
Bedroom 2 was upstairs at the front of the apartment. It had a double bed and two single beds. This room only had a small window in the roof, but that would help keep the room dark at night. There was aircon in this room and a double wardrobe. We didn’t use this room.
Bedroom 3
Bedroom 3 was also upstairs. It had two single beds and a double wardrobe. This room opened out onto a roof terrace with views of Marjan Hill and the surrounding rooftops. We didn’t use this room either.
Roof Terrace
The roof terrace didn’t have any tables or chairs, but this may have been because we were there during the low season when it was too cold to sit outside.
The view from the roof terrace was pretty good – rooftops and Marjan Hill in the distance.
Bathroom
The bathroom has been newly renovated and is quite spacious.
There was a bath and separate shower. Towels were provided, but no soap or shampoo.
The View
The view was one of the best aspects of the apartment. The main bedroom looked out over the beautiful main square, where many cafes are located.
The above photo was taken on a cold April morning. In summer these cafes would be packed with people.
The old Town Hall, which is now a gallery, is directly opposite the apartment.
The cafe shown above is on the ground floor of the apartment building. The apartment is on the 3rd and 4th floors.
Above is a short video taken from the main bedroom.
Location
The apartment is located above the cafe that you can see on the left hand side of the above image. Locations don’t get much better than this in Split. It’s in the center of town with easy access to everything.
The Hosts
The property is owned by Ante and Ivana, the same owners as the 1-bed property that we stayed at. They were excellent hosts and always available. They have lived in Split their whole lives so can help with anything you need.
