We decided to stay in Ljubljana for an extra week, but as the White Apartment was fully booked we had to look for an alternative option. Luckily we managed to find the perfect place just a few minutes’ walk way. The apartment was located on the 6th floor with great views looking out from our balcony doors. It was also right in the center, so easy to get around town on foot. Click here to book a room at Center Park View Apartment.
Living Room
The living room was very minimally furnished, so was pretty spacious. Above you can see the pebble wall, with the kitchen beyond it.
The room had a large 3-seat settee and small coffee table. There was a small window next to the settee and large balcony door looking out onto the hillside opposite the apartment. There was a large radiator in the room, but we didn’t need to use this, as it was fairly warm during our stay.
The large balcony doors let in lots of light, but there were also external shutters that could be closed if needed. The owner had supplied a map and some brochures of things to do in Ljubljana.
Above is the view we had from our balcony doors. Just above these buildings is Ljubljana Castle, although you couldn’t see it from the apartment. The restaurant you can see is excellent and very reasonably priced. This is a great place for breakfast.
Kitchen
The kitchen was quite large and had everything we needed. There was a full-size fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. You could enter the kitchen from both the hall and the living room.
The kitchen had a dining table & chairs and also a desk and chair. There was a folder with lots of information about the apartment and other essentials. There were large windows, as you can see above, and these let in lots of light. All these windows had external shutters.
Bedroom
The bedroom was large, with a big, comfortable double bed. There was a window to the side that had external shutters. The room was very dark when these were closed, so that ensured we slept very well.
The bedroom had a huge built-in wardrobe. Inside was extra bedding, extra towels, an iron and an ironing board.
Bathroom
The bathroom was long and narrow, but the shower at the end was quite large. There was a gas boiler, so hot water was instant and always available.
Wifi
The internet was fast and worked very well. When tested, it showed as 7.76 Mbps download and 1.01 Mbps upload.
Location
The location of this apartment was perfect. It was just 200 meters from the famous Dragon Bridge and also 200 meters from the fresh market. There was a large Spar supermarket around 400 meters away. The apartment was on the 6th floor of a residential building. All the people we met there were very friendly and it was a safe and secure building. In the image above you can see the apartment building. The road leads up to the castle.
The Owner
The owner was friendly and very helpful. He lived in the same building, which was re-assuring, just in case we needed any help during our stay.
