To celebrate the new year, we took a stroll down to the bridge at Saphan Taksin BTS station. It’s only a 10-minute walk from the condo, and the bridge is one of the best places to see the spectacular firework display that Bangkok puts on every new year. The display this year was 15 minutes long. The bridge was packed with thousands of people, and even the traffic came to a halt at midnight, as people stopped and got out of their card to watch the display.
