The Kathmandu Photo Gallery is located in a restored pre-war shophouse on Pan Road in Silom. It’s just across the road from Sri Mariamman Temple, a very popular Hindu temple. The gallery is owned by Thai photo-artist Manit Sriwanichpoom. Downstairs is covered with all sorts of photos, and there are also books for sale. Upstairs is a small exhibition space.
Once Upon A Time On Bugis Street
When I visited recently, they had an exhibition by Alain Soldeville – Once Upon A Time On Bugis Street, a series of transvestite streetwalker photos taken in the 1980s in Singapore’s Bugis Street.
This gallery is well worth a visit if you’re in this area.
