The Mekong Riverside Lodge is one of the best places to stay in Pakbeng, Laos. This accommodation was arranged for us by Nagi of Mekong, as part of our 2-day slow boat trip. The Mekong Riverside Lodge only has 10 rooms, but they’re in a perfect position, perched high up on a hill overlooking the Mekong River. It’s also only a few minutes’ walk from the center of town, and the very interesting Pakbeng Market.
The room at this lodge was made of bamboo, as you can see in the above image.
The bathroom was fairly small, but very nicely designed. I loved the minimalist feel of our room.
We only stayed here one night, and were very happy with both our room and service. There was free wifi at our room, and breakfast was provided in the morning.
