We stayed here for a total of 10 nights, as the location so was good for us. The hotel is located just outside the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage City zone, in what’s known as the buffer zone. The hotel is on Lebuh Kimberley, just where all the amazing street food stalls are in the evening. It’s only 2-3 minutes’ walk to the market, and 3 minutes’ walk to a good shopping mall. We originally booked a 1-bed standard room, but upgraded to a family room, as we got such a good deal for saying so long. Our room was quite big, and had two queen size beds.
Room also had TV, fridge, free water. Staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful. Whatever we asked for was provided right away. They even printed and scanned some documents for me.
We would have preferred a bigger bathroom, but what we had was adequate for our stay.
The hotel has a nice chill-out area where you can do some work, sit and read or have a coffee. It’s behind the reception area on the first floor, and has the hotel rooms all around it.
Our room had a small balcony, with an area for drying clothes. The hotel also provides a laundry service for 7 RM ($2.20) per kilo. Internet was a little slow at times, although adequate for our needs.
Every evening outside the hotel, many very popular food stalls and restaurants are open. It’s buzzing with activity and a good place to eat with the locals.
A couple of minutes walk away is an excellent market that’s open from early morning until early afternoon. You can pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables here. The market is on Jalan Kuala Kangsar.
