For our stay in Luang Prabang, we opted for three nights at Philaylack Villa, which is just a few minutes walk away from the night market, cafes and restaurants. It’s also less than one minutes’ walk from the Mekong River. Click here to book a room at Philaylack Villa.

This was a fairly small room, but it was big enough for three days. It was near everything we needed in the town, so is an ideal location for us.

The bathroom wasn’t too good, as the shower was pointed in the direction of the sink and toilet. This meant that we couldn’t keep our toiletries or toilet tissue in the bathroom. I don’t know why the shower wasn’t fitted to face the other direction, as there is enough space for it.

The wifi at the hotel was painfully slow, but it was also very slow at all the cafes we used in town as well. So perhaps the internet is just slow in Laos. Click here to book a room at Philaylack Villa.
