The UNESCO World Heritage Town of George Town, Penang, has some great street art scattered around the town. Here’s a quick guide to finding it.
Kung Fu Girl is on Jalan Muntri, next to the Chinese temple (Penang Ta Kam Hong).
Kids On Bicycle is on Lebuh Armenian, close to the junction with Lebuh Pantai.
Cats & Humans Happily Living Together is in the grounds of Cheah Kongsi on Lebuh Pantai, just around the corner from Kids On Bicycle.
Old Motorcycle is on Lebuh Ah Quee, just around the corner from Cats & Humans Happily Living Together. The artwork to the left has almost crumbled away completely.
Our Art Is Dying is down a small lane just a few feet along to the left of Old Motorcycle.
Bruce Lee – Kung Fu Fighting is just around the corner from Our Art Is Dying – just walk further down the lane and around the corner.
Boy On Chair is on Lebuh Cannon, just a few feet along from the junction with Lebuh Acheh.
This is Old Motorcycle again, without the artwork to the left.
Children Playing Basketball is just off Lebuh Chulia. Walk from Pengkalan Weld onto Lebuh Chulia, and you’ll see this artwork on your left hand side down a small lane.
Children On Swing – Step By Step Lane is on the lane directly opposite Children Playing Basketball. Step By Step Lane isn’t a real street name, but just part of the art installation.
Big Ginger Cat is on Lebuh Armenian, on left hand side when walking from Lebuh Pantai to Pengkalan Weld.
These three cats are next to Big Ginger Cat.
Big Rat is on the corner of the wall that Big Ginger Cat is one. Looks like he’s hiding from the cat!
Cat In Triangle is further along, and on the opposite side of the road, from Big Ginger Cat.
Cats On Wooden Crates is further along from Cat In Triangle – just passed the junction with Lebuh Victoria.
Cat And Mouse is on Lebuh Armenian – on the left hand side when walking from Lebuh Cannon.
